WHO WE ARE
Walk Tonbridge Festival is a not for profit event raising money and awareness for Sustain, a Tonbridge based charity, providing emergency food parcels for local people experiencing short term need.
Walk Tonbridge Festival Ltd, is a company registered in England, Company Number 13412811.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE
We have full public liability insurance for our guided walks and marathon events.
BOOKING YOUR WALK
All our walks must be pre-booked, so please be sure to reserve your place in advance.
Walks must be paid for at the time of booking via this website using the secure booking system, with the exception of the Nordic walks.
RECONFIRMATION
At the time of booking we will ask you for a mobile phone number. This is simply in case we need to contact you to notify you of any changes to the walk.We will also use it to contact you should the walk be about to depart and you have not arrived.
Other than for these reasons we will not contact you, nor will we pass your number on to third parties.
CHANGES TO A WALK
We reserve the right to make changes to any walk, or part of a walk, should circumstances beyond our control dictate.
We will contact you if there are any major changes to a walk and will offer you the option of either switching to another walk (where available), or of receiving a full refund. In the event of any last minute changes, such as a path closure, we will let you know at the start of the tour.YOUR GUIDES
Our guided walks are conducted by walk leaders that have volunteered their time to raise money for Sustain.
Please treat them with courtesy and respect.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We reserve the right to cancel a walk should the guide be taken ill or should circumstances arise that make the operation of a tour impossible.
If we cancel a walk we will offer you the choice of either switching to another date or walk (where available) or of receiving a full refund of any monies you have paid to us.
All walks are 100% non-refundable unless cancelled by Walk Tonbridge Festival.
If you are unable to attend your walk, please let us know in advance so that you do not delay the departure for the rest of the group.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Our glorious British weather can be unpredictable.
We will aim to operate the walking tours irrespective of weather conditions, so please ensure that every member of your party is aware of this and ensure that they dress according to the weather forecast.
In the event that a walk leader deems that it is unsafe to operate a walk, we reserve the right to cancel the walk and offer you the option of a refund or re-arrange the walk for an alternative date.
Our photo walks are weather dependent. We reserve the right to cancel these in the event of inclement weather.
In this instance we will offer you the option of a full refund or to book an alternative date where available.
SAFETY
Tour participants are responsible for their own personal safety at all times. We ask that you pay attention when crossing roads and walking near rivers/streams, keeping your personal safety in mind.We also ask you to be aware of any dangers such as loose paving stones, kerbs, stiles, tree roots, brambles, nettles, dog waste and other natural and unnatural hazards.
COUNTRY CODE
Please follow the rules of the country code when enjoying our guided and self guided walks.
Take any rubbish home with you.
Stick to the footpath.
Leave gates and property as you find it.
Give wild animals/livestock/horses plenty of space.
Do not feed horses/livestock/wild animals as this can harm them.
Keep dogs on a lead, bag up their poo and put this in a bin. If no bins are available then take this home with you.
LATENESSPlease arrive earlier than the stated departure walk time, so that we can check you in before the start of the walk.
If you arrive late, we will try and help you join the walk at a later stage but cannot guarantee this.
In the event that you are late for a walk we will not be able to offer you a refund.
DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR
We reserve the right to refuse participation in a walk to anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Anyone whose behaviour is disruptive or is spoiling the enjoyment of a walk for other tour participants will be asked to leave the walk. No refunds will be given should this happen.
