New for 2024!
Tonbridge Civic Society has presented awards to more than 50 buildings in and around the town since 1981. Led by the chair of the Society, Tom Freke, this walk provides insight and background on a selection of some of the best award winners, a mix of successful restorations of historical buildings and more modern developments. In doing so, the walk helps tell the story of modern, post-industrial Tonbridge.
The approx. 1.5 mile walk starts outside The Old Fire Station and loops round the town centre, finishing at the castle. Depending on stops and conversation along the way, it should last 60-90 minutes.
Cost: Donations to Sustain food and fuel bank
Meeting point: Tonbridge Old Fire Station
Walk leader: Tom Freke
