New to the Walk Tonbridge Festival for 2024!
Join Mike Evans for a relaxed circular social hike from Tonbridge Old Fire Station to Southborough Common where we will stop for a picnic lunch (please bring your own lunch).
We will meet at Tonbridge Old Fire Station for a coffee (own expense) before setting off at approximately 10:30.
We will be walking approximately 12 miles/19 kilometres following a hilly route that will lead us through Haysden Country Park, up to Bidborough Ridge and then onto Southborough. Our inbound route will lead us back into Tonbridge via Colebrook Viaduct and the Frith Valley.
On our return to the town centre we will have the option of enjoying a drink (own expense) in one of the local pubs!
You are welcome to walk the outbound section of the route and take the bus back from Southborough, should you prefer to walk a shorter route.
Your walk leader Mike Evans, is an experienced walker who regularly walks long distance routes in and around Tonbridge.
All monies raised from this walk will be donated to Sustain food and fuel bank.
